MIRPURKHAS: Two polio workers sustained injuries when a local community attacked the government-run health team in Sindh Stop Bacha Band in Umerkot road here on Monday. The polio team was attacked by the Dal community injuring Gull Muhammad Mirza and his subordinate. The attackers ran away from the crime scene. The injured were shifted to the Civil Hospital. The police conducted a search operation after the incident. A case has been registered against anonymous armed men and investigation was in process. Following the attack, the polio workers boycotted anti-polio campaign due to lack of security arrangements.
